Data Scientist - Text analytics

09.2022 - 02.2023

EY, Consultancy - Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Core Skills: Customer Insights (Python), Databricks, Natural Language Processing (GPT, BERT, T5), Deep Learning (TensorFlow + CUDA)

A company in the healthcare sector implemented a new robot to help in daily tasks with their elderly clients. The robot is important as their staffing was overworked as it is hard to find new workers in their sector. To evaluate how their clients approved of the robot, they gathered feedback in the form of multiple interviews over time. As the interviews content is open text, analysing manually would demand even more work from their staff.

I used natural language processing (NLP) techniques (Python and databricks), in particular emotion detection and aspect extraction, to automate the analysis of the data. The analysis helped their staff by deploying a pipeline that automatically cleans the data, extracts the most important aspects and their respective sentiment involved. In another shorter project, I investigated consumer reviews for detecting what products led to which aspects to their branding.

The final report gave an overview of most recurrent aspects of the robot that their clients liked or disliked, so that they could derive data driven actions out of the insights without the need to do it manually. Furthermore, Guidance on how to make these questionnaires more efficient were also promoted, as the framework proposed can be used in their future projects.

Data Visualization Designer

01.2022 - 08.2022

Eyeon, Planning services - Noord Brabant, The Netherlands

Core Skills: Data Modelling, Requirements analysis, Power BI

EyeOn is a Dutch consultancy company, focused on planning. As they serve other companies for determined periods, they need to plan ahead which resources will be best allocated in future projects.

I worked as a fullstack dashboard developer in PowerBI, also re-structuring the database so that it would comply with the business requirements. I also worked on a shorter dashboard project about the development of innovation projects within the company.

Both projects were very well accepted, as their business requirements were translated in visualisations in a very clear and understandable manner by professionally asking the right questions.

MKBDatalab, Freelance data science – Den Bosch, The Netherlands

Core Skills: Computer vision, Deep Learning, Data Science (Python), SQL

MKBDatalab is a Dutch company that assigns freelance data scientists to small/medium companies.

In a project with XYZImaging, Camila researched the feasibility analysis of computer vision models in Keras and PyTorch to convert 2D images to a 3D model. The end goal of the project was to develop a new method to perform the breast cancer prevention analysis without the usage of radiation.

Working there, she had the opportunity to help small companies / startups to become more data driven. What is more, working on very specific cutting edge data science applications was good to further her knowledge as a data scientist.

Philips_shield.png

Business Intelligence Analyst

01.2019 - 12.2019

Philips, Healthcare sector, Customer services department – Barueri, Brazil

Core Skills: Data Modelling, Power BI, Requirements analysis, Workshops

Philips is a multinational healthcare systems provider. The services department has the vital role of machines maintenance, which was empowered by data driven predictions. The data came from multiple sources at a local and global level, and to extract its full potential, it needed to be integrated and data governance needed to take place. As more and more data became available over the years, a full FTE was required just to gather the data sources and each department was using that data independently making reports by need basis.

As a data analyst, I made the integration of the data sources, re-structured the data model and automated the reporting as the solo fullstack BI developer in the project. The main softwares used in the ETL of the project were SQL, PowerAutomate, SAP, SalesForce, QlikView/QlikSense, and Tableau. I also made a PowerBI dashboard to satisfy the demands of different stakeholders, namely managers, planners and external clients. Each of the groups was interested in different KPIs, which had to be re-aligned so they were consistent within the company. For this calculation, DAX and PowerQuery (m) were used. I was also responsible for the documentation and giving the workshops on how to use the dashboard.

The automation saved 0.75 FTE, besides increasing data quality. Integrating all data sources and making the visualisations were pivotal to making more reliable predictions. Furthermore, an aligned dashboard made it possible that all stakeholders are on the same page, with the most updated information.

To make a complete analysis, she also investigated the user experience on mobile and on the app (App Store Optimisation - ASO), besides the main desktop version. She also monitored the follow-up of the changes and made the reporting of the A/B testing of the marketing department on their social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) and blog.
